Spray/Applications Technician

St. James Bay Golf & Pickleball Resort is seeking a dedicated and skilled Spray Technician to join our team. This role involves applying various chemicals and fertilizers to our unique 18-hole golf course and grounds at St James Bay Golf and Pickleball Resort. The Spray Technician will work directly with the Director of Agronomy and Assistant Superintendent.

Responsibilities

• Apply golf and ornamental-approved pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers according to safety regulations and best maintenance practices (BMPs).
• Operate and maintain specific vehicles used for spraying applications.
• Conduct thorough monitoring of turf and landscapes to identify pest issues or areas requiring treatment.
• Maintain accurate records of services performed, including products used and areas treated as required.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding pesticide application.

Qualifications

• Trained golf course spray technician.
• A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
• Ability to work independently and be part of our golf course team.
• Knowledge of safety practices related to chemical handling and application .
• Experience operating turf Spray Machinery.
• Must have or ability to acquire Florida RUP Pesticide License, BMP-GI, Fertilizer License within 120 days.
• Must be physically fit to meet all responsibilities.

Educational Requirements

Studies in turf management preferred
