Assistant Superintendent
Wolf Creek is an exclusive, private 18-hole golf club that is seeking an Assistant Golf Course Superintendent. The club is regionally recognized as a “players club” and is proud of its many accomplished amateur golfers and six current members of the PGA Tour/Champions Tour along with several players on the Korn Ferry and Latin America tours. We are a true golf club – there is no pool or tennis courts at Wolf Creek. Our focus is on providing our members the absolute best conditions in an atmosphere that keeps them engaged. An “outside-the-box” thinker will excel here – there are no tee times so we must be ready for anything at any time.
This position will work closely with the Director of Agronomy, Superintendent, and other Assistants. They will be given as much latitude as possible to make our course awesome! Passion, Attitude, Work Ethic, and Time Management are key attributes we are looking for.
Responsibilities include:
- Fertilizer and plant protectant application management
- Training and supervision of application specialists
- Inventory management/tracking
- Record keeping
- Application equipment management
- GPS mapping and set-up
- Daily moisture management
Playing surfaces consist of:
- A4 Bentgrass greens/approaches
- ‘Meyer’ zoysiagrass tees/fairways
- Kentucky Bluegrass/Turf Type Fescue roughs

Educational Requirements
2 or 4-year degree in Agronomy, Horticulture, Turf Management, or related field preferred but not required. A fast learner with other real-world experience will be considered
Experience Requirements
2-3 years of golf course experience is desired, but the right person with a great attitude, knowledge, and a desire to excel and have fun will be considered. A knowledge of the game of golf is essential, but a scratch handicap is not required.

- Three-day weekends every third week.
