Seasonal Intern
The Pebble Beach Company is looking for passionate turf students/graduates to fill the roles of Golf Course Maintenance Intern. We have multiple positions available across our resort courses (Pebble Beach Golf Links, Spyglass Hill Golf Course, The Links at Spanish Bay). Some previous maintenance experience is preferred, but not necessary. Applicants must possess a willingness to work, with an interest and belief in learning the industry from a hands-in-the-dirt perspective.
The Intern positions will be involved in all aspects of golf course maintenance. This is not a management position. However, proven ability and a strong work ethic will be rewarded with increasing levels of involvement. This includes responsibilities such as leading crews, irrigation install and troubleshooting, chemical application/calibration, and review of course budgeting and long term planning. Typical internships are 3 or 6 months, but we are flexible with start and end dates depending on school schedule, availability etc. Any interested party is encouraged to apply. These positions have served as an excellent steppingstone for those seeking to be an assistant superintendent in the near future. 9 of the 12 Managers currently employed in the golf maintenance division at Pebble Beach Company started as interns or AIT’s at one of our courses.
