Assistant Superintendent
Lake Hickory Country Club is located between the Blue Ridge Mountains and Charlotte, North Carolina in Hickory, North Carolina. Lake Hickory Country Club has two facilities located 15 minutes apart. Between the two facilities, Lake Hickory Country Club has served the entertainment, athletic, and dining needs in the surrounding area since 1923. - Manage and supervise all aspects of golf course maintenance, including Staffing, mowing, fertilization, irrigation, and pest control.
- Assist the Superintendent with the management and knowledge to effectively and efficiently maintain the course and staff to club standards.
- Monitor and manage turfgrass health and expectations set by the Superintendent
- Lead and mentor the maintenance team, ensuring they are properly trained and equipped for success.
- Assist the Superintendent to plan and execute renovations, tournaments, course closures and Aerification schedules
- Maintain records of maintenance activities, equipment inventory, safety procedures, and chemical inventory and application records
- Assist the Superintendent in invoicing and budget management. Manage and maintain Bentgrass and Bermudagrass greens
Educational Requirements

2-4 year degree in turfgrass management

Ability to obtain pesticide license
Experience Requirements
1-2 years experience working on golf course maintenance.
