Assistant Superintendent
Troy Country Club in Troy, Ohio, a northern suburb of Dayton, is seeking a motivated, self-starting individual to join our TEAM as an Assistant Golf Course Superintendent. This position will allow the right individual to learn and continue developing their turf management skill set alongside a young Superintendent, a veteran Assistant, and the smaller, close-knit group we proudly call the TCC Turf Team.
As an Assistant Superintendent, you will be involved in all aspects of golf course maintenance including both the annual planning and daily implementation of agronomic programs, budgeting, in-house construction & enhancement projects, daily course conditioning (setup, mowing, rolling, aerating, spiking, hand-watering, moisture management, irrigation repair and maintenance, chemical application, product inventory, record keeping, and anything else you want to learn!
The ideal candidate should have a passion for the game with the ultimate goal of becoming a successful Golf Course Superintendent.
Educational Requirements
A 2-year associate or 4-year bachelor's degree in Turf management or an agronomy-related field is strongly emphasized, but not required.
Experience Requirements
Multiple years of Golf Course Maintenance experience, preferably in a leadership role.
Familiarity with basic chemical and fertilizer calibration and applications.
Experience in troubleshooting and repairing irrigation and drainage systems.
Special Requirements
Must possess an Ohio Pesticide License or have the ability to obtain one within 90 days.
