Seasonal Intern
Cantigny Golf is a public 27-hole facility, along with a park/garden and 9-hole short course located in the suburbs of Chicago, about 25 miles west of Downtown. We are currently undergoing a complete renovation of all 27 holes, with 18 finished and the last 9 set to be completed June 1, 2027. We will be renovating our clubhouse and surrounding landscapes this winter of 2025 into 2026. The golf course renovation consists of installing new irrigation and drainage, reshaping and regrassing greens, fairways and tees, and re-building/adding new sand to bunkers. We are working with Todd Quitno Design, Wadsworth Golf Construction Co., and Liebold Irrigation. This project is aimed to re-establish Cantigny as the area's top public golf experience for decades to come.
We are currently looking to hire Interns/AIT’s for the 2026 season. No matter the skill level or experience an individual has, we are willing to train the right individual should they provide the drive and ambition to progress in this industry. This is a fantastic opportunity for golf course construction and grow-in experience, which will fast track any intern/AIT into an assistant position, and eventually a superintendent role. Wages will start at $20/Hr, with overtime opportunities available during grow-in and as needed. Overtime wages will be time and a half.
This internship will be designed to have everything to offer. While geared towards individuals who wish to become a Golf Course Superintendent, there are numerous opportunities across the Cantigny estate to be exposed to Horticulture, Landscape Design/Architecture, Forestry, etc.
