We are seeking a skilled and reliable Irrigation & Landscape Lighting Technician to join our team full-time. This is a hands-on, hourly position that requires advanced knowledge of irrigation systems and low-voltage landscape lighting. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong troubleshooting abilities and the capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of irrigation and landscape lighting systems at both residential and commercial properties. This position involves diagnosing system issues, implementing repairs, and ensuring optimal system performance in the field.
Examples Of Work Performed:
- Responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of complex irrigation and landscape lighting systems.
- Responsible for the installation of timers and clocks, timers and controllers that operate irrigation and landscape lighting systems.
- Responsible for making necessary repairs and adjustments to maintain all systems in proper working condition.
- Compile and submit reports and records on the condition of all systems.
- Responsible for the inventory of parts, supplies, and equipment of irrigation systems.
- Conducts regular system inspections and performs troubleshooting exercises.
- Performs related work as required and as directed.

Educational Requirements
- Considerable knowledge in the field of irrigation and landscape lighting, installation, maintenance and repairs.
- Prefer 1 year experience with irrigation/lighting.
- Knowledge of the occupational hazards of the trade and of the proper use of safety equipment and practices.
Experience Requirements
- Ability to diagnose problems with electrical meters and pumps; make necessary repairs and adjustments to maintain all systems in proper working conditions.
- Ability to install timers & clocks that operate irrigation and landscape lighting systems.
- Ability to maintain records and submit reports on conditions of all irrigation systems.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays and evenings, if needed.
- Ability to assist in supervising work crew, if needed.
- Ability to interpret irrigation plans.
- Ability to inventory parts, supplies, and equipment of irrigation systems.
- Ability to install valve program for irrigation systems.
- Ability to operate various pieces of maintenance equipment.
- Ability to understand and carry out instructions and to complete work assignments correctly.
- Ability to perform heavy manual labor for extended periods, often under hot and humid conditions.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors and other employees.
- Ability to operate a company vehicle and possess the required license.
