Assistant Superintendent
We are seeking an individual who would be mentored by the current superintendent that plans to retire in the next few years to transition into filling his position. Creekside Plantation Golf Course is a beautiful Par 35, 9-Hole course in Seymour, TN situated on 65 acres nestled between Knoxville and Sevierville, TN with Bermuda Fairways and Bent Grass Greens which surrounds a 5 acre Practice Facility.
A strong work ethic and commitment to team success with willingness to work alongside other employees is necessary.
This individual would be mentored to learn the course specific maintenance task across all core areas, to include bunkers, greens, and landscape maintenance. Safety, equipment care and ability to follow all safety procedures is necessary and be prepared to work in extreme temperatures and weather conditions. The ability to work a flexible schedule, especially during golf season is imperative.
Educational Requirements
Prefer college degree in Turf Management or similar field in Industry Relevance
Tennessee Pesticide Applicator's License or willingness to obtain
Current valid Drivers License
Valid Social Security card or Federal Identification
High School Diploma
Experience Requirements
Minimum of 6 years prior experience working on a golf course maintenance staff, or as an Assistant Superintendent or Assistant-in-Training.
Aerification experience
Basic knowledge of equipment maintenance
Should be physically able to bend, kneel, squat, reach, and lift 50-75 pounds.
Knowledgable and experience in the maintenance and operation of irrigation systems
