Assistant Superintendent
The First Tee of Greater Philadelphia is looking for an Assistant Superintendent for the Walnut Lane GC in Roxborough Philadelphia PA. The First Tee is a youth development organization that provides a safe learning environment for young people to be empowered through the game of golf. Walnut Lane GC is a public municipal 18 hole course that is on 95 acres of land in Wissahickon Creek State Park in Fairmount Park Philadelphia. It’s an Alexander Findlay 1940 par 3 par 4 4509 yards long.
Educational Requirements
Certificate, BS or AS in Agronomy-Turfgrass Management. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
Experience Requirements
2-3 years of golf course experience is preferred. The ideal candidate must be a passionate, highly motivated and career oriented individual that has the willingness to advance in the industry.
Applicant will be responsible for 3 full time and 3-4 seasonal employees, day to day operations and overall maintenance of a 18 hole par 62 golf course including a driving range and clubhouse area. Candidate will learn all aspects of golf course maintenance including spraying and fertilizing applications, water management and course setup.

Must possess a strong work ethic and be able to work well in a team environment and be the leader of day to day operations.
