Superintendent/General Manager
Position Overview
Harlem Valley Golf Course is a private, low-traffic 9-hole golf course operated by Dover Greens. This is a hands-on superintendent role with a strong mechanical focus, suited for a calm, well-maintained environment rather than a high-volume public facility.
A primary function of this position is equipment diagnostics, repair, and mechanical problem-solving. The superintendent is expected to handle most day-to-day equipment issues in-house, minimizing downtime and reliance on outside service vendors, while coordinating selectively with a part-time professional mechanic for advanced or specialized work.
This position is well suited for an experienced assistant superintendent or a golf-course mechanic who enjoys mowing and field work, wants to remain hands-on, and is looking to level up into broader course responsibility while continuing to work directly with equipment and turf.
