Seasonal Intern
About Cape Cod National Golf Club
Cape Cod National Golf Club is a private, 250-member golf club located in Brewster, Massachusetts. Designed by Brian Silva and opened in 1999, the course was recognized as Best New Golf Course in its opening year.
Despite a short Cape Cod growing season, the club hosts approximately 12,000 rounds annually, demanding a high level of conditioning and consistency throughout the year.
The greens were originally grassed with L-93 creeping bentgrass and have been aggressively overseeded with newer improved bentgrass varieties to improve density, performance, and long-term sustainability. Tees and fairways are maintained as a blend of multiple bentgrass cultivars and fine fescue, reinforcing the club’s commitment to firm, resilient playing surfaces.
Cape Cod National prides itself on delivering firm, fast playing conditions, embracing the traditional principles of golf course architecture and conditioning that the game’s forefathers intended.
A new pump station was installed at the end of 2025, marking a major investment in the long-term sustainability of the golf course. A full irrigation system replacement is targeted for 2029–2030, further enhancing water-use efficiency, reliability, and course conditioning.
