Assistant Superintendent
Jefferson Country Club is offering an exciting opportunity for the right individuals to join our grounds team. JCC is committed to improvement across all aspects of the property going forward. We are currently developing a Master Plan for the property which will outline all the projects to be completed prior to a new irrigation system being installed with a goal completion year of 2030. The club is committed to a new vison and the grounds department will seek to provide an elite product for the membership and their guests. JCC grounds department will operate with a team first mentality creating comradery and teamwork throughout the department as we all aim for the same goal. We will bring high end championship golf to Jefferson Country Club and develop an elite grounds department culture.
The Assistant's play a major role is developing the culture and expectation for our department. They will help establish the standard as we transition into new leadership and ensure we meet those standards everyday. The Assistant will be in a hands-on role leading by example while providing guidance and training for the grounds team. This position requires attention to detail, organization, great communication skills, and an overall commitment to wanting to be successful in the turf industry. Assistants will be exposed to all aspects of golf course management at a championship level and will have opportunities to take on as many responsibilities as they want. We are seeking motivated individuals that want to be developed, so one day they can go on to be successful Superintendents.
While previous management experience is preferred, a positive attitude with a desire to work and develop is key. AIT's and recent graduates are encouraged to apply as we continue to develop depth among our management team. This is a great opportunity to gain experience being a part of a transition which Assistant's will need when they one day step into their own Superintendent roles.
Educational Requirements
- Turf degree or Certificate

- 2-3 years of experience preferred but not required
