Assistant Superintendent

Full-time

Battle Creek Country Club is a private 18-hole Championship Willie Park Jr. golf course founded in 1919. We are looking to hire a qualified individual for an open Assistant Golf Course Superintendent position. This year-round position works closely with the Golf Course Superintendent, supervising staff, and helping maintain exceptional course conditions. 

Educational Requirements

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Turfgrass Management, Agronomy, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Experience Requirements

  • The ideal candidate would have 2-5 years in turf grass management with increasing responsibilities
  • Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
  •  Attention to detail and a strong work ethic
  •  Ability to work in outdoor environments and manage physically
    demanding tasks.
  •   Hardworking, punctual, and with a great attitude 
  • Capability to lift 50 lbs., stand, bend, and move for extended 
      periods

Special Requirements

  • Michigan pesticide applicator license (or ability to obtain promptly)
  • Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays
