Seasonal Intern

Internship

Overview:
Morris County Golf Club is proud to host the 106th New Jersey State Open Championship this July (2026)! This will be a unique opportunity for a summer intern to play an active role in tournament preparation and execution while gaining valuable hands-on experience in golf course management.

About the Club:
Morris County Golf Club is a classic 18-hole course designed by C.B. Macdonald and Seth Raynor. Founded in 1894, the current layout was completed by Raynor around 1916. Our club recently completed significant renovations to both the golf course and our world-class maintenance facility, which now features new administrative and environmental buildings alongside updated work areas.

Internship Overview:
Our grounds department is looking to form a true partnership with an individual who is passionate about learning all aspects of turf management. We value curiosity, teamwork, and personal growth—and we view our interns as important members of our management team throughout the season.

Interns will gain experience in:

  • Fertilizer, fungicide, and herbicide applications

  • Turf mowing practices and course setup

  • Tournament preparation and execution

  • Cultural and moisture management practices

  • Crew leadership and project management

Every season, our goal is to offer interns freedom and flexibility to focus on areas where they want additional exposure or training.
