Assistant Superintendent
Hamilton Elks Country Club in Hamilton, Ohio, is a private 27-hole facility featuring 18 holes designed by Donald Ross and 9-hole course by Michael Hurdzan. The club is part of the Elks Lodge #93 and provides a social and philanthropic environment in addition to it's golf courses. The Assistant Superintendent will work closely with the Director of Agronomy, supervising golf course personal, and helping maintain quality golf course conditioning.
Educational Requirements
The ideal candidate will have a 2-4 year degree, certificate or equivalent work experience.
Experience Requirements
The assistant Superintendent's responsibilities are, but not limited to,
Assist in day-to-day operations: set up and conditioning of the golf courses.
Foster a positive, respectful, and team- driven culture.
Assist in maintaining fertilizer, pesticide, water, and safety records.
Assist in leading, training, and mentoring staff.
Irrigation system operation and troubleshooting.
Assess golf course conditions and determine maintenance priorities based on current needs and overall course standards.
Special Requirements
Must be able to obtain State of Ohio Commercial Applicators License within 90 days of employment.
