Assistant Superintendent
Arcola Country Club is seeking a motivated and detail oriented Assistant Superintendent to join our agronomy team. This is an excellent opportunity for a turf professional to advance their career at a highly regarded golf facility with a strong commitment to championship course conditioning, teamwork and professional development. Arcola is in the midst of a golf course renovation with architect Andy Staples and LaBar Golf Renovations and a new Rain Bird irrigation system with consultant Paul Roche and LaBar Golf Irrigation. Arcola is known for providing championship conditions daily with over 100 single digit handicap golfers. We are looking for an individual to join our veteran team and bring passion, enthusiasm and their love of the game.
Educational Requirements
Associates or Bachelors Degree in Turfgrass Management or related field.
Experience Requirements
2-4 Years of Golf Course Experience preferred
Valid NJ Pesticide Applicators License or obtain one within 12 months
Special Requirements
Qualified Applicant Will:
-Make pesticide and fertilizer applications when needed
-Gather and Record Daily Golf Course Data
-Supervise a Crew of 22
-Program daily irrigation
-Handle daily record keeping and labor tracking
-Be involved in projects done in house
-Provide daily input on what is happening on the golf course
-Attend Grounds Committee Meetings and Renovation Meetings
