Assistant Superintendent
Compass Pointe Golf Course is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Superintendent to join our Agronomy team. Compass Pointe is a 36-hole daily-fee facility owned by Anne Arundel County and professionally managed by Indigo Sports, a Troon Golf Company, for over 25 years
The Assistant will work closely with the Superintendent to manage all aspects of the golf course. This will include, but not limited to hiring staff, crew management, leading monthly OSHA and company safety meetings. Assist the team with daily course set up and mowing schedules, all aspects of irrigation management and repair, IPM and pesticide/fertilizer applications. Coaching staff with routine tasks (mowing, calibrating, course set up, etc.) Assist with inventory of all chemicals, fertilizers, equipment, supplies and all pesticide/ fertilizer documentation.
Educational Requirements
2-4 year Turf/Agronomy degree or currently enrolled in a turf management or closely related field program
Experience Requirements
1-2 years of golf course experience required
Toro/Lynx irrigation experience a plus
Must possess basic computer skills with Word and Excel
Must have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
