Assistant Superintendent
The Links at Firestone Farms is looking to add a new member to our golf course team to fill the Assistant Superintendent position. This full time position will be in charge of necessary daily maintenance procedures, special projects, and assist the superintendent in staff management and long range goals for the golf course.
Applicant preferably should have experience in the golf course maintenance industry and be trained on basic course management procedures. These should include the ability to operate and maintain the mowing equipment, have experience with irrigation repair, and have the ability to run the sprayer.
This is a full time hourly or salaried position (based on experience) with additional employee benefits that can be customized based on the applicants needs, experience, and skill set. The Links is excited to welcome the right fit to our team that will no doubt be a valuable asset to the operation
Educational Requirements
Qualifications Preferred
- A degree or certificate in Turfgrass Management or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of golf course maintenance experience
- Ohio Pesticide Applicator's License
- Knowledge of irrigation systems and repairs
- Thorough knowledge of chemical and fertilizer applications
- Ability to operate and maintain equipment associated with the golf course industry
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to effectively manage a team
- Excellent problem solving skills and ability to work well under pressure
- High attention to detail and commitment to producing high quality work
Experience Requirements
Responsible for aiding in the day-to-day management of the golf course, including but not limited to course setup, irrigation management, chemical and fertilizer applications, equipment maintenance, crew management, and project management. The Assistant Golf Course Superintendent will work closely with the Golf Course Superintendent to ensure the maintenance and conditioning of the golf course to the highest standards

Hourly or Salary rate is commiserate with experience. Employment Package may include additional benefits based on needs and availability.
