Irrigation Technician
Join our dynamic team as a Golf Course Irrigation Technician and play a vital role in maintaining the health and beauty of our golf course. Duties
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair irrigation systems using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment such as excavators.
- Conduct regular inspections of irrigation components to identify leaks, clogs, or malfunctions, ensuring efficient water usage.
- Assist with hand watering and moisture management as needed.
- Operate construction equipment safely during system installation or upgrades, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, system adjustments, and maintenance activities for operational efficiency.
- Perform preventative maintenance on pumps and irrigation infrastructure
- Support general golf course maintenance operations when required.
- Ensure safety, cleanliness, and organization of tools and equipment.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose and repair irrigation systems and related equipment.
- Experience with irrigation systems, lawn care practices, landscape maintenance, and general landscaping techniques.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment such as excavators.
- Knowledge of agronomic principles relevant to turf management and plant health.
- Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently in outdoor environments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a proactive approach to maintenance challenges. Educational Requirements
High School Diploma required. Higher education degree in Turf Management, Agronomy or Horticulture preferred.
Experience Requirements
Minimum one season but energy, passion, and a willingness to learn matter most.
Special Requirements
Knowledge of Toro Lynx system preferred.
