This position has a strong management component to it and is an excellent opportunity for those who would like to manage large crews, projects and be involved with new technology.

ABOUT MONTCLAIR GOLF CLUB:

With a prime location in Essex County, New Jersey, 10 short miles outside of New York City, Montclair Golf Club is the club that energizes members of all ages  by continually improving and enhancing our golf courses, proven by the 14 million dollars of investments in the last 5 seasons alone, through masterplan work guided by Brian Schneider and Renaissance Golf Design.  This work preserved the design intent of golden age architects, Donald Ross and Charles Banks.

An important part of our storied legacy, Montclair Golf Club is proud to have hosted 2 USGA National Championships, and adding a 3rd this Fall when we host the 2026 U.S. Women’s Mid-Amateur Championship. The club previously served as the site of the 1973 U.S. Women’s Amateur Championship, won by Carol Semple Thompson, and the 1985 U.S. Amateur Championship, won by Sam Randolph. These historic events reflect Montclair’s longstanding tradition of supporting elite amateur competition and contributing to the national golf landscape. The 2026 U.S. Women’s Mid-Amateur Championship continues that proud tradition.

Originally designed by two golden age era golf course architects, Donald Ross and Charles Banks, Montclair Golf Club’s 4 nine hole golf courses are amongst the most distinctive in the nation. Since 2020 we have renovated the 2nd, 3rd and 4th nines, expertly guided by Brian Schneider of Renaissance Golf Design.  Our restoration efforts focused on green and fairway expansions, all new bunkers built with the Better Billy Bunker System and all new tees planted to 007 bentgrass.  Future renovations will include restoration of the 1st nine, planned renovations of the green department building and a new clubhouse.
