Assistant Superintendent

The Cardinal by Pete Dye is owned and operated by McConnell Golf. The Cardinal is one of 17 clubs in the McConnell Golf network. McConnell Golf is highly respected and known for their quality of clubs and for being a great place to work. Within our network of clubs we host two different Korn Ferry tour events, and one PGA tour event. The Cardinal is seeking a qualified individual to fill the role of Assistant Superintendent. This is a great opportunity for a 2^nd Assistant or AIT to move up and join the McConnell network.    

Primary Responsibilities: 

• Oversee and assist in daily golf course maintenance operations 
• Support turf health, conditioning, and presentation standards 
• Participate in irrigation management and troubleshooting 
• Assist with spray and fertilizer applications and recordkeeping 
• Help oversee equipment usage and care 
• Lead the maintenance team by example and with a strong work ethic

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with irrigation systems 
• Spray and fertilizer application and calibration experience  
• Familiarity with golf course maintenance equipment 
• Prior supervisory or crew leadership experience 
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail  
• Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed 
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions 
• Positive attitude and team-first mindset
