Assistant Superintendent
Maple Creek Golf and Country Club is a private 18 hole golf course and social club in Indianapolis, Indiana. We are located just 15 minutes east of downtown off of I-70. Built in 1961, we are historically known as Pete Dye's first 18 hole golf course design. In addition to being a challenging championship design, our staff and membership take great pride in preserving Mr. Dye’s legacy on our grounds.
We are seeking an energetic, highly motivated and passionate individual who has aspirations of becoming a future golf course superintendent. This individual would become the apprentice of our current superintendent, who has over 30 years of experience and would work with them daily. They will be exposed to all facets of golf course maintenance including but not limited to: course setup, fertilizer, pesticide application, mowing, bunker maintenance, machine operation, irrigation troubleshooting and repair, chemical/fertilizer applications.
Educational Requirements
Currently pursuing, or graduated with, a degree in Turf Grass Management or related fields.
Experience Requirements
Golf course experience is preferred but not required. Candidate must possess a positive attitude, strong work ethic, attention to detail, eagerness to learn and excellent organizational skills.
Innovative thinker and self starter with perseverance to work on a team to succeed.
Requires a valid Driver’s License.
