I have been the Assistant Golf Course Superintendent in Training at TPC Southwind in Memphis, TN for 2 and a half years and will have completed my Turfgrass Management Degree this summer. I have a strong desire to continue my growth in the golf course industry and would love the opportunity to work for you. I will be moving to Bristol, Pa at the end of August and will be available to start the first week of September. In my current role, I have been responsible for the maintenance of a FedEx Cup Playoff golf tournament as well as being used as tournament support for three other PGA events. I was involved in the renovation of multiple fairways at TPC Southwind as well as several bunker renovations. In the months leading up to, and during the tournament, I led a team to ensure proper bunker depths, firmness, and playability. The workers on these teams range from college students to veteran workforce, so I am well versed in leading a wide range of employees. I was chosen as tournament support for the 2023 Waste Management, 2023 Zurich classic, and 2024 Mitsubishi Electric Classic where I was responsible for data collection and moisture working closely with PGA Tour leadership. I was also responsible for greens moisture and data collection at the FedEx St Jude Championship that we host at TPC Southwind. Prior to my work at TPC Southwind, I served 6 years in the Navy in the intelligence community. During my time there I worked closely with leadership and managed several teams of joint service members.This helped foster my ability to think critically in high-pressure situations. My work in the Navy also helped increase my communications and leadership skills, as I effectively led and managed a team of 10-20 fellow officers. My time in the Navy navigated me towards being an extremely hard-working, dependable, determined, organized, and loyal individual. I now carry these skills in all aspects of my life.
