Position Overview: As the Assistant Golf Course Superintendent, you will support the Superintendent in overseeing all aspects of golf course maintenance and turfgrass management. This role offers a unique opportunity to play a critical part in maintaining the quality and reputation of one of Long Island's premier golf courses. Key Responsibilities: Assist in planning and implementing agronomic and maintenance programs. Supervise and manage the daily activities of the groundskeeping team. Monitor irrigation systems and ensure proper water management. Inspect the course regularly to assess conditions and identify potential improvements. Oversee the application of fertilizers, pesticides and other treatments in compliance with safety regulations. Train and mentor grounds crew staff, fostering a positive work environment. Assist in budget management and procurement of materials.
