Karl Danneberger, Ph.D., of The Ohio State University will discuss management practices that bring golf course turf to the brink of disaster and how those conditions are exacerbated during times of environmental stress, particularly in hot, summer conditions, including practices that present optimal conditions for insect and disease pests. His presentation will include agronomic practices golf course superintendents can utilize to minimize the threat of turf stress during the height of the playing season to promote a healthy stand of turf not only through the current year but into the next as well.
