Golf Course Superintendent

- Performs professional administrative work for the Golf Course Division in overseeing and directing the activities of the golf staff in grounds and facilities maintenance.
- Oversees the comprehensive care and maintenance of assigned buildings, turf health, grounds and athletic complexes.
- Performs budget development, implementation and maintenance and policy and procedure development and enforcement.
- Directs the work of subordinate supervisory personnel.
- Performs extensive report and record maintenance activities.
- Perform other related duties as required.

Superintendent / Golf Course Job Description
Educational Requirements
Education and Experience
- Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in turf management, golf course operations or a related field.
- Four (4) years of experience in golf course operations.
Experience Requirements
Licenses or Certifications
- State of Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services Bureau of Entomology and Pest Control Limited Lawn and Ornamental for Government Use Pesticide Applicators License (Chapter 482.155).
- State of Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services Bureau of Compliance Ornamental and Turf License (Chapter 487).
- Must possess a valid state driver's license and obtain a valid Florida driver's license within thirty (30) days of hire or promotion.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Supervisory experience.
- Florida turf knowledge.
- Golf Course Superintendents Association of America membership.
