Golf Course Superintendent
The Golf Course Superintendent is a very important member of the Clubs management team and will oversee the maintenance of the golf course and adjacent grounds, including the clubhouse landscaping and maintenance there of. The position will also include overseeing the repair and maintenance of all golf course related equipment.
Maintain all grounds including the golf course, clubhouse landscape, as well as other maintainable property.
Supervise all planting, fertilization, and chemical applications and other care of plants, shrubs, trees and bushes on golf course and clubhouse.
Hires, supervises and trains maintenance staff communicating with General Manager, the needs, applicants, interviews, and employment practices.
Scheduling of all personnel assigned to the department.
Communicate frequently with General Manager to discuss activities, goals, plans, and player feedback.
Oversees all repairs and scheduled maintenance of all golf course maintenance equipment.
Supervise maintenance and operation of drainage, irrigation and other mechanical watering systems.
Ensures that the golf course is providing quality playing conditions for quests of the property.
Prepares and maintains record keeping for fertilization and chemical applications.
Perform any other duties as assigned.
Experience Requirements
1 to 3 years turf grass management experience.
Supervisory, coaching, and staff management a plus
College Degree preferred but not required
Knowledge of local, federal, and state laws as well as regulations affecting management of golf course operations
Must have a passion for the golf business
Must be organized and efficient with a high attention for detail
Must have excellent communication skills

$48,000 to $60,000 based on experience
