Golf Course Superintendent
Silica Sands Golf Club is a 9 hole, par 3 course that shares some operating functions with Trout National - The Reserve located next door. Five holes were completed in 2023, and the remaining four holes are currently under construction. The course contains USGA bentgrass greens, bentgrass tees and fairways, turf type tall fescue rough, and native/waste areas incorporated into the sandy site.
This will be a hands on position that reports to the Director of Agronomy. The right candidate is someone looking to gain experience managing their own property, while joining a multi-faceted operation. This position may also be involved in the construction and grow in of Trout National - The Reserve, currently underway and being designed by TGR.
Job Responsibilities
- Work with construction contractor to complete remaining holes
- Manage and train a staff of 5
- Execute chemical and fertilizer program
- Manage Rainbird IC irrigation system with CirrusPro
Educational Requirements
Two or four year degree/certificate in turfgrass management.
Ability to obtain New Jersey Pesticide and Fertilizer license.
Experience Requirements
At least two years experience as an assistant superintendent.
