Assistant-in-Training
Abenaqui Country Club is a private country club on the seacoast of New Hampshire. We are seeking to hire an AIT that will for with the Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, and senior crew to implement course maintenance strategies. This is a full time SEASONAL position. The candidate will be exposed and educated on the many facets of course maintenance. Such tasks include:
-General course maintenance (mowing etc)
-Course set up
-Fertilizer/chemical application
-Soil moisture and plant health monitoring
-Disease and insect scouting
-Irrigation management
-Basic equipment maintenance
Educational Requirements
Education in turf management or a turf related field is encouraged but not required. Certain qualities are required such as:
-Strong work ethic
-Ability to learn quickly
-Good time management skills
-Dependability
-Respect for the property
-Ability to produce high quality results
Experience Requirements
Golf course experience is preferred but not required. Some landscaping or knowledge of working outdoors is required.
Special Requirements
The nature of the work is physical, the candidate must have the ability to perform these tasks.
