Moon Brook Country Club is a private club located in Western New York. MBCC is a Willie Park Jr. design known for its challenging greens and beautiful scenery. The club has hosted three New York State Amateurs and many regional qualifying events. MBCC has recently adopted a Master Plan developed by Raymond Hearn. As an assistant superintendent you will participate in the implementation of the master plan. You will be responsible for chemical and fertilizer applications. You will gain experience managing the crew and help with the budgeting process. You will take part in course setup and any other maintenance practices as necessary.

Proper water management (hand watering, etc.) Fertilizer and chemical applications (proper calibration and techniques) Proper course set up (daily hole and tee locations and detail work). Cultural practices (topdressing, aerification, etc.) Irrigation maintenance (irrigation head fixes, pipe repairs, locating/troubleshooting wiring issues) Learning how to manage according to the weather. Identifying, evaluating, and recommending corrective action for agronomic problem areas, including funguses, pests, and drainage issues. Collect field data for water management programs. Direct Hand watering crews. Communicate with Superintendent and Senior Assistant to organize equipment in mornings prior to staff arrival.  Maintain clean and organized shop/yard.  Collect daily metrics on greens speeds, clipping volumes, moisture, firmness, and tissue testing.  Consult with superintendent and Senior assistant daily to plan and supervise crew member tasks and maintenance of golf course.  Instruct crew members on proper equipment operation. Manage crew members during projects. Inspect irrigation systems, identify issues, and implement corrective action. Conduct and oversee fertilizer and chemical applications. Assist with safety programs, training, and record keeping Understanding of and ability to utilize golf course software applications such as EZLocator, Task Tracker, TDR Fieldscout, Playbooks Coverage, Drones, and camera work.

  Victoria National Golf Club is seeking an Assistant in Training (AIT) to join our management team for 2025. We are an 18 hole private club with a primarily national membership. Designed by Tom Fazio the course has continuously been ranked in multiple top 100 lists since inception and is currently ranked number one in Indiana. Located in the southwest corner of the state, it’s the only cool-season facility in the region. Greens, tees, and fairways are grassed with L-93 Bentgrass. Our rough is primarily Midnight Kentucky Bluegrass. Dew paths and intermediates are Perennial Ryegrass and HGT Bluegrass. Our turf types combined with our climate provide a unique opportunity to learn elite course presentation in an extremely challenging environment. We are fortunate to have ownership that understands what is needed to maintain a course of our caliber. We are closed annually from late November to early April to perform all turf cultivation practices as well as architectural and construction updates. Position Overview The AIT will work directly with Assistant Superintendents, Superintendent, and the Director of Agronomy, and is considered a key member of the management team. You will have the opportunity to be involved in all agronomic practices, construction projects, scheduling of staff, as well as long and short term planning. We believe strongly in promoting from within and all members of our management team have been former AIT’s. Victoria National is part of a network of seven private clubs that make up the Dormie Network. Old Sawmill Golf Club, a Tyler Rae design located just 25 minutes outside of Charleston is a brand new highly upscale and very exclusive golf club. Founded in 2000, Eagle Point Golf Club was designed by architect, Tom Fazio.  Eagle Point features an 18 hole layout, as well as a 9 hole Par 3 course. Eagle Point consistently ranks as one of the top golf courses in the country, and in 2017 hosted the PGA Tour's Wells Fargo Championship. We are currently in search of an Assistant-In-Training to join our talented team here at Eagle Point.  The position is designed to focus on the various skills needed to promote a firm and fast experience in the Coastal South. Resources are provided by the Club to support our goals. During the Summer of 2017, the greens were converted to Champion G-12 with TifGrand collars. The fairways, tees, and rough consist of TifSport Bermudagrass.  Our motivated membership allows for significant capital projects.  Recent projects include a state of the art pumphouse and Watertronics pump station, and total reconstruction of our Par 3 course utilizing TifEagle greens and Tahoma 31 Bermudagrass.  Future projects are imminent as we navigate the Master Planning process. About Kenwood: Kenwood Country Club is a private 36-hole facility located in Cincinnati, Ohio designed by William Diddel in 1930. In 2019 the Kendale Course underwent a renovation, which updated the golf course for today’s technology and restored the original design intentions. Over the last several years our Club established itself as the premier private, and family-oriented country club in the Cincinnati area, and one of the top clubs in the Midwest. Kenwood has made a large commitment and investment in the Course & Grounds operations as the grounds compound underwent renovations; providing a new building for management offices, new break room and locker rooms, a new maintenance building housing the equipment maintenance operations, and the purchasing of a brand new fleet of John Deere equipment.  In the fall of 2023, the Kendale Course completed the 2nd phase of the renovation: updating the greens to USGA specifications with precision air drainage system and new 007XL bentgrass. Kenwood is currently in the process of hiring an architect to create a master plan of both golf courses and practice facilities.

AITs will be prepared for and expected to obtain their Private Commercial Applicator License after 90 days of employment.   Assistants-in-Training will gain experience in small project management/oversight and will be expected to be a leader and voice on our staff. AITs will also train with and work alongside each of our full-time staff members to gain practical hands-on experience in all areas of course maintenance. AITs can expect to learn and take part in disease scouting, moisture management and a variety of other tasks including course set-up, bunker maintenance, and mowing. The candidate can expect to gain experience in operating mowers and other heavy machinery (tractors, backhoes, aerifiers etc.) to improve an overall skill set needed for the next step in one's career. All aspects of turfgrass maintenance will be emphasized. Successful AITs will gain the experience to understand and implement sound agronomic strategies and cultural practices and develop solid management skills through hands-on leadership opportunities.

Caves Valley Golf Club is an 18-hole, private golf only facility located in the rolling hills of Baltimore County, a 15 minute trip to the city. The Tom Fazio design has been consistently ranked as one of the top courses in the state and the Mid-Atlantic region.  Caves Valley Golf Club has hosted several events, including the 2002 US Senior Open, 2017 Constellation Senior Players Championship,2021 BMW Championship and The 2025 BMW Championship.  Over the past 5 years Caves Valley has successfully completed a full course renovation including a new Toro two-wire irrigation system, 19 precision air units, a rebuild of all greens, tees, and  bunkers, newly seeded fairways, and a myriad of other projects to improve the experience for our membership.
