Golf Course Superintendent

Holly Ridge Golf Links located in Archdale, NC is actively seeking a golf course/property superintendent.  We are a high-profile public entertainment destination boasting an 18-hole golf course, driving range with full practice facility, and 6 indoor golf simulators.  Other amenities on the property include:

-        Bar and Grill with indoor and outdoor dining options

-        Pergola/Patio area for events and dining

-        Two large barns original to the property accompanied by a working grist mill also used for outdoor events

The superintendent’s responsibility is to maintain all areas listed above to the highest possible standards within a budget that he/she creates with a staff of 6-12 people depending on the season.  We are looking for a personable, self-motivated, and energetic individual that is passionate about the game of golf with the following experience and expertise:

-        Capable of leading and inspiring team members

-        2-4 year degree in turfgrass management (Preferred)

-        If no degree, a minimum of 10 years’ experience on a comparable golf course with 5 years’ experience as an assistant superintendent or superintendent

-        Familiarity with bermudagrass, specifically Champion Bermuda

-        Horticulture; maintaining and creating new landscapes/hardscapes

-        Ability to operate a wide variety of equipment including but not limited to skid loaders, excavators, trucks, sprayers, and mowers

-        Irrigation installation/repair

-        Carpentry/Plumbing skills

-        Small engine repair
