Golf Course Superintendent
The Saratoga Hot Springs Resort Public Golf Course offers a challenge to golfers of all levels and abilities with 9 holes of excellently conditioned fairways and greens that straddle the North Platte River. Opened for play since the 1950s, this scenic 3,580-yard, 9 hole course continues to be a favorite among recreational golfers for its cliff-top tee, three over river shots and wildlife-rich setting.
The superintendent is responsible for operation and maintenance of the golf course and resort grounds. This individual will need to plan and supervise crew members on proper equipment operation as well as daily tasks. Manage crew members during projects, identify and overcome problems in the field, identify and repair irrigation issues, chemical calculation, mixing and application, mechanics diagnosis and repair, grinding of reels (if able), prioritize tasks in order of importance, etc.
These responsibilities include:
- Turfgrass/plant material maintenance programs;
- Property/asset management;
- Personnel management;
- Budgeting/forecasting;
- Financial management;
- Member relations;
- Scheduling/maintenance of irrigation systems;
- Pesticide applications; and
- Compliance of regulatory issues.
- Maintenance and maintaining equipment
Educational Requirements
2 year Turfgrass degree or a degree in a related field is preferred
Experience Requirements
· Golf course managment experience
· Pesticide calculation, calibration and application experience
· Irrigation experience
· Valid Driver License
· Ability to obtain a Wyoming Pesticide License within 90 days
· Experience operating and maintaining golf course equipment

Physical Requirements
Applicant must be able to lift 50+ lbs frequently, walk, stand, bend, kneel, crouch regularly. Must have the ability to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
