Equipment/Shop Manager
Plandome Country Club is currently seeking an equipment/shop manager to replace our long time equipment manager who is retiring at the end of this year. Plandome Country Club is a high end private club 25 miles outside New York City on Long Island. The equipment/shop manager will report directly to the Golf Course Superintendent. He will be responsible for the quality of cut, preventative maintenance of the equipoment, record keeping, and ordering parts and supplies.
Educational Requirements
- High school diploma
Experience Requirements
Working knowledge of turf cutting units regarding daily setup, adjustments, grinding and maintenance preferred. Minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience with turf equipment strongly preferred. Experience in the repair and maintenance of gasoline and diesel engines. Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical and hydraulic systems. Ability to maintain and keep a safe working environment. Responsible for ordering parts and working within a budget. Ability to communicate effectively and basic computer skills.
