Atlantic Golf and Turf is looking for an organized, self-directed, and sales-driven Director with good agronomic skills and a passion for the seed industry. 

 

RESPONSIBILTIES: Manage all aspects of grass seed business including:

·      Procurement, inventory management, blend production and assist with sales and marketing.

•       Ride along with Team to sales appointments when needed.

•       Advise and coordinate quotes and orders.

•       Work up quotes for bids.

•       Develop and train AGT sales team on seed selling technique and product information.

•       Develop, implement, and guide seed marketing activities throughout the year, with a focus on customer retention and expanding/developing seed customers.

•       Plan and coordinate seed production, keeping required records.

Ensure facility maintenance to avoid injuries and machine damage.

Lead operational excellence by driving various initiatives to achieve efficiencies and possible cost optimization.

 

Educational Requirements

Bachelor's degree in agriculture major or equivalent.  

Experience Requirements

·      Sales experience a plus.

·      Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    

·      Working knowledge of QuickBooks Enterprise also a plus.

·      Working knowledge of seed varieties and seed markets, fertilizer, and crop protection products.

·      Knowledge of market analysis, pricing strategies, and supply forecasts. 

·      Skilled in sales leadership, closing techniques, and working in a team-oriented environment.

·      Professional communication, time management, decision-making, and organizational skills.

·      Positive attitude and TEAM player.

 

Special Requirements

·      Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and able to travel some overnights.

·      Able to lift seed bags up to 50 pounds.
