Associate Brand Manager - Professional Fertilizer Section I – Position Role Statement This position is responsible for executing the product plans contributing to the annual sales and profit goals of their primary brands which they support. This position is required to work closely with the Sr. Brand Manager and with Sales, Marketing Services, Operations, Product Development and Accounting to prioritize activities, manage the brand projects and ensure business objectives are achieved or exceeded. Primary Brands: Support Brands: Lebanon Pro ProScape Lebanon Specialty Country Club PL fertilizers Country Club MD Resale Chemicals Country Club IV Section II – Essential Tasks · Work with Sales to ensure volume objectives are achieved through current customers and new customers in existing and custom product solutions for primary brands · Process quotes to meet customer needs within sales margin expectations including custom products · Execution against annual brand marketing plans with accountability on each primary brand to execute according to budget · Data analysis to anticipate problems and identify opportunities including managing the forecasting process for the assigned brands · To lead cross-functional project sub-teams related to the primary brands for product execution · Liaise with Product Development, Regulatory and legal contacts to ensure all products and related claims meet legal and regulatory standards · To know the consumer and channels and build plans which capitalize on this knowledge · Develop and maintain landscape channel understanding · Execute products aligned with strategy and brand positioning documents · Stay current on regulatory and legislative affairs Section III – Knowledge, Skills and Abilities · Agronomic knowledge in plant fertility (or ability to learn) · Understanding of marketing strategies, data analysis, and research methodologies (or ability to learn) · Good problem-solving skills and ability to recommend plans to capitalize on opportunities · Developing leadership skills with team participation experience · Effective project management skills and ability to multi-task · Good analytical ability and understanding of financial statements · Fundamental understanding of other functions that impact brand success · Understanding or ability to learn the consumer lawn care industry · Effective communication and presentation skills · Experience in consumer communication, package design and product development · Strong skills in Microsoft Office packages (predominately Excel and PowerPoint) · Ability to effectively manage cross functional relationships Section IV – Required Candidate Attributes · Proactive, trustworthy, persuasive, cooperative · Ability and willingness to continually learn Section VII – Scope of Responsibility · Primary responsibility with assigned brands - $20M in Net Sales · Share in responsibility with the Sr. Brand Managers for assigned brand Net Sales
