Turf Equipment and Storr Tractor are looking for an irrigation purchasing manager to work with both enterprises to handle irrigation inventory. This position will manage irrigation purchasing, inventory, and coordinate irrigation large projects. The ideal candidate will have purchasing experience, and commercial or residential irrigation, and residential lighting, and will be comfortable using modern ERP software. The listed salary is commensurate on experience and highly qualified individuals are encouraged to apply. Create vendor purchase orders for commercial and residential irrigation and lighting inventory items across both Turf and Storr Act as main liaison with suppliers on a day-to-day basis; including ordering, confirming shipments, scheduling delivery, and pricing/invoicing issues Track open PO's to ensure product is scheduled to arrive when expected Work with Accounts Payable, Customer Service, and Warehouse staff to research vendor quantity and price discrepancies Work to protect the inventory levels and prevent stock outs, without overstocking inventory Manage inventory by working closely with Branch Managers, Territory Managers, Irrigation Quoting staff, Residential Irrigation Manager, and Golf Irrigation Manager Manage inventory master records within ERP system Manage reorder levels to ensure minimum stock outs, including location-level reorder points Create product promotions, discounts, and special pricing within ERP system, on an as needed basis Review inventory on a regular basis to manage obsolete inventory Process large project and vendor returns within 5 days of notification Transfer products between warehouses to maximize inventory turns and minimize excess inventory across the companies Work with Golf Irrigation and Residential Irrigation Managers to plan and coordinate Large Project jobs Coordinate deliveries and schedules from vendors shipping to the jobsite when necessary Develop, nurture, and maintain business relationships with vendors Ability to work overtime as needed
