Turf Equipment Technician
Trump National features two extraordinary courses in an idyllic setting along the Potomac River. A magnificent 36-hole private club in northern Virginia that’s home to two compelling 18-hole layouts. The course served as the challenging, eye-catching host to the 2017 KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship, won by two-time Masters Champion Bernhard Langer. The club also had the privilege in hosting the 2013 Junior PGA Championship. A new chapter started this past May when Trump National DC hosted a LIV Golf Tournament.
Under the direction of the Equipment Manager, the Assistant Equipment Technician helps and/or works independently of the equipment manager in maintenance of all golf course equipment. They are responsible for inspecting, repairing and maintaining various gasoline and diesel equipment including but not limited to John Deere walking and riding reel mowers, rotary mowers, gators, pro-gators, tractors etc. The Assistant Equipment Technician also supports maintaining a clean maintenance bay and diligently insures all facility safety protocols are in place through a preventative maintenance checks and services program. This position requires a motivated individual with a keen eye for attention to detail and who thrives working in a team oriented environment. Our goal is to help mentor and support an assistant equipment technician into a head equipment manager. Educational Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience Requirements
- Working knowledge of the general operation of gasoline, diesel and electric powered equipment; proper methods of servicing golf course equipment
- Working knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions of the profession
- Rotor and reel blade maintenance
- Mechanical ability; ability to use common mechanical tools
- Ability to prioritize equipment repair
- Ability to maintain cooperative working relationships with fellow team members
- Maintain clean and safe work environment
- Ability to diagnose mechanical trouble and determine appropriate maintenance work
