Equipment/Shop Manager
Westwood is looking for a motivated, self-starting Equipment Manager/Mechanic to be an integral part of the staff and maintain the fleet of golf course equipment. The comfortable maintenance shop consists of two buildings and is equipped with tools, lifts, hoists, reel and bedknife grinders and a separate office. The person filling this position will be responsible for needed repairs, preventative maintenance, adjusting mowers, and will help with future equipment recommendations. Small and large engines, gas and diesel, and a variety of mowers and cutting units, tractors, utility vehicles, carts, and sprayers are part of the inventory.
Educational Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Mechanical classes or seminars
Experience Requirements
1-2 years of golf course equipment maintenance experience preferred
Several years of general mechanical experience
Organizational and record keeping abilities
Self-starter with strong work ethic
Special Requirements
We are looking for a person that pays attention to detail and is team oriented.
