Equipment/Shop Manager
Halbert National is a new construction designed by Tom Fazio on the shore of Lake Granbury. It’s going to be an exclusive 18 hole facility that gets very little play each year. The anticipated soft opening is anticipated fall 2024.
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Equipment Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the overall management and maintenance of all golf course equipment, including mowers, tractors, and turf equipment. This individual will play a key role in ensuring the operational efficiency and safety of our equipment, as well as overseeing equipment repairs, inventory, and maintenance schedules.
Details of the project include:
- Bermuda Greens, Zoysia Fairways and Rough
-3.5M Lease Including John Deere tractors and Transportaion fleet, Wiedenmann and Chem Turf specialty equipment, Toro cutting units, and Foley grinders.
-The equipment manager will be a key player in the planning and development of the 20,000sq ft maintenance facility.
Educational Requirements
-High school diploma or equivalent
-3+ years of experience in golf course equipment management or a related field.
Experience Requirements
Requirements:
- Manage and oversee the operation, maintenance, and repair of all golf course equipment and machinery.
- Develop and implement equipment maintenance schedules to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify and address equipment issues and safety concerns.
- Oversee and manage the inventory of parts, supplies, and equipment needed for maintenance and repairs.
- Coordinate with vendors and outside contractors for equipment repairs and maintenance services.
- Train and supervise equipment maintenance staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and guidelines related to equipment operation and maintenance.
- Collaborate with the golf course superintendent and other department heads to support the overall maintenance and management of the golf course.
-Strong knowledge of equipment maintenance best practices, including preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to train and supervise maintenance staff.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and guidelines related to equipment operation and maintenance.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to equipment management.
- Certification in equipment operation and maintenance is a plus.
