Equipment/Shop Manager

The Grand Forks Country Club is looking for a turf mechanic who will be responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance of the entire turf equipment fleet. The applicant will be responsible for setting up all mower reels on a daily basis, making sure the units have a sharp cut and are at the correct mowing height. The applicant will also be responsible for shop upkeep, ordering parts, and maintaining an up-to-date service record. The equipment mechanic will also be involved in some daily golf course operations. This will be a year-round position and hours may vary day to day.  This position does not require nights or weekend work. 

Some duties performed:

·       Cutting unit adjustment

·       Reel and bedknife sharpening

·       Equipment preventative maintenance

·       Engine repair

·       Electrical troubleshooting

·       Parts stocking and ordering

·       Judgement of mechanical performance

·       Ensuring safe and proper working order of all systems
