Equipment/Shop Manager

Round Hill Club is seeking a highly motivated Golf Course Equipment Manager to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to work at one of the few remaining Walter Travis-designed courses in the country. The club is currently collaborating with architect Andrew Green to restore and revitalize Travis’s original design.

Located in Greenwich, CT, and founded in 1924, Round Hill Club is one of the most historic clubs in the nation. The club is known for its commitment to family values and tradition, while embracing the benefits of innovation and change. Situated on 100 acres, the course exemplifies the golden age of golf course architecture, featuring dramatic mounding, elevation changes, and embracing the land the course was built on.

Job Description:

The Equipment Manager reports to the Golf Course Superintendent and oversees a comprehensive preventive maintenance program for all golf course equipment and assets. Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing equipment, maintaining records of parts and labor, and managing orders for parts and supplies. The Equipment Manager will communicate equipment maintenance and repair needs to the Superintendent, and schedule and direct the work of the Mechanic. Safety is a top priority, and the Equipment Manager is responsible for maintaining a clean and organized maintenance facility.
