Equipment/Shop Manager
LOCATION: Founded in 1911, Peninsula is an 18-hole private club located in San Mateo, ten minutes south of SFO. The club is conveniently located just off Highway 92, between 101 and 280. A new maintenance facility was completed in 2016, which provides for an excellent work environment. $4M+ equipment inventory, $300K+ annual replacement investment, predominantly Toro cutting units.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Under the supervision of the Director of Agronomy, the Equipment Manager will be responsible for managing all golf course equipment related duties and oversee/direct an Assistant Equipment Manager in such duties. Important aspects of this include maintaining a preventative maintenance program and thorough inventory management via Excel or an online resource; instructing and/or training golf course staff regarding maintenance and safe operation of equipment; working within an established annual budget; maintaining the shop area in a clean, safe and orderly manner; performing any other non-shop duties as directed by the Director of Agronomy. Position will require periodic OT during aerification and select club tournaments.
Experience Requirements
REQUIREMENTS: 5-10 years of experience as an Equipment Manager in the golf/landscape industry. Desirable candidate will possess the following attributes- strong attention to detail; self-motivated; solid work ethic; career oriented. Candidate will be expected to manage a highly organized, efficient and professional shop.
