Assistant Equipment Technician
Sugar Mill Country Club is looking for a dependable and motivated individual to join our team as an Assistant Golf Course Mechanic. This position plays a vital role in keeping our equipment fleet running smoothly so our grounds crew can maintain the high standards our members expect. You’ll work closely with our Head Mechanic, Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Mechanic with routine maintenance and repairs on golf course equipment and machinery
- Perform oil changes, filter replacements, blade sharpening, and other basic service tasks
- Inspect equipment daily for performance and safety
- Troubleshoot and assist in resolving mechanical and electrical issues
- Maintain accurate service records and parts inventory
- Operate equipment safely when needed on the course
- Pitch in on general course maintenance tasks as needed
Educational Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
Experience Requirements
- Basic mechanical knowledge and experience with small engines (2-cycle and 4-cycle)
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Willingness to learn and take instruction
- Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Flexible schedule availability
- Experience in golf course maintenance or equipment repair is helpful but not required
