Quail Creek Country Club seeks an equipment mechanic for its golf course maintenance department. The ideal candidate will have 6-12 months’ experience with Toro, Club Car, small equipment, 2 cycle and diesel engines, welding and fabrication, but will train the right person with some mechanical experience. He or she will be 1 of 4 equipment mechanics on the team. Must be able to lift 50 to 70 lbs. and be on your feet most of the day. Quail creek Country Club is currently receiving new lease equipment as our 2024 equipment lease has just begun. Quail Creek maintenance department has one of the most sophisticated mechanical shops in the surrounding area. The shop area is two story with plenty of space to work. Shop has 2 post lifts, 2 in ground table lifts, chain falls lifting system, 2 Bernhard reel grinding machines, 2 bed knife grinding machines (1 Bernhard and 1 foley) in a separate grinding room, hydraulic rolling table to transport cutting units, sizeable welding and fabrication area, and an air-conditioned office. Duties include but are not limited to: 1. Repair and maintenance of all golf course equipment. 2. Conducts preventative maintenance for all course equipment. 3. Completes maintenance records assigned by toro my turf maintenance software program. 4. Assists in maintaining safety procedures for using equipment. 5. Maintains inventory of parts and shop supplies. 6. Perform other duties requested by the equipment manager and superintendents. 7. Maintain a clean and safe working environment. 8. Sharpens (grind) reels and bed knives / set up cutting units to cut and set height requested. 9. Operation of tire changing machine on various types and sizes of tires.
