Adjust and sharpen reel mowers to ensure proper reel to bed knife adjustment and proper height-of-cut on all cutting units. Reels need to be ground to achieve a consistent quality of cut. Order parts and equipment such as tools, cleaning equipment for shop, and practice facilities. Stock frequently used items. Perform all business office required paperwork/online submissions on all financial parts ordered. Keep good relationship with UT Fleet Services on items that require additional labor/equipment that Athletics is not able to perform in-house.     Prioritize performing preventative maintenance on all carts, mowers, and additional equipment. Ensure field equipment is working at optimal levels including back lapping mowers, sharpening blades, height adjustment on equipment especially in preparation of certain sports seasons and weather-related adjustments. Installs, maintains, and repairs electric motors, generators, control panels, vehicles, switches, and accessories. Change/charge batteries often. Fix tires and wheel alignment on various carts. Must be proactive in implementing and logging preventative maintenance programs for all equipment in the turf department.
