Turf Equipment Mechanic – The Golf Club at Bradshaw Farm

The Golf Club at Bradshaw Farm is seeking a skilled Turf Equipment Mechanic to join our Golf Course Maintenance team. The ideal candidate will have prior experience with golf course equipment and a strong mechanical background.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Certificate from an accredited college or technical school (minimum one year), OR 1–3 years of related experience and/or training, OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Golf course equipment experience or training is required.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on all golf course equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues with small engines and turf equipment.
• Conduct and maintain a preventive maintenance program to ensure equipment longevity and performance.
• Maintain detailed records of all repairs, maintenance, and service schedules.
• Adjust and sharpen blades on reel and rotary mowers to ensure proper height of cut.
• Perform welding, cutting, and brazing repairs as needed.
• Order and manage parts and supplies, including cost comparison for best value.
• Monitor and maintain fuel levels in storage tanks; ensure proper disposal of hazardous materials.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe maintenance facility.
• Assist Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent in training staff on safe and effective equipment use.
• Spot-check equipment performance in the field; make necessary adjustments.
• Perform golf course maintenance tasks as needed.

Additional Requirements:

• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
• Strong mathematical and reasoning skills.
• Must meet the physical demands of the role, including lifting, bending, and working in various weather conditions.
