Turf Equipment Technician
Coldstream Country Club is a 1959 Dick Wilson design located in Anderson Township just 15 minutes east of downtown Cincinnati. In total the property is just shy of 200 Acres and includes a 14 Acre range with a heated indoor practice facility. Keith Foster lead the course renovation in 2020 which included regrassing of all surfaces except greens. Bunkers were renovated using the Better Billy Bunker system and natural areas have been established as well. XGD drainage system was installed on greens in 2022 along with over 16,000 lineal feet of drainage installed in fairways and approaches.
The Equipment Technician reports to the Golf Course Superintendent and oversees a comprehensive preventive maintenance program for all golf course equipment and assets. Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing equipment, maintaining records of parts and labor, and managing orders for parts and supplies. The Equipment Manager will communicate equipment maintenance and repair needs to the Superintendent and Senior Assistant, and schedule and direct the work to be completed. Safety is a top priority, and the Equipment Manager is responsible for maintaining a clean and organized maintenance facility. The club is actively updating the equipment fleet through capital leases and is looking to continue to improve the entire maintenance operation year over year.
Educational Requirements
Graduate of a vocational technical school or post-secondary training in small engine repair or mechanics preferred.
Experience Requirements

Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a golf course mechanic or similar role

Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical diagnostic and repair skills

Experience with Toro or John Deere equipment preferred

Ability to operate and maintain reel and rotary cutting units to precise standards

Valid driver's license and ability to work flexible hours including some weekends and holidays
Special Requirements
- Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions.
- Frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals.
- Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; extreme cold; extreme heat; risk of electrical shock; and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
- Able to meet and perform the physical requirements and to work effectively in an environment which is typical of this position.
- Frequent lifting, bending, climbing, stooping and pulling.
- Frequent repetitive motions.
- Continuous standing and walking.
- May need to use some protective equipment, such as a respirator, gloves, earplugs, eye guards/visors, boots, and hat.
