Sports Turf Technician

JSM Services Inc. is seeking a full-time Spray Technician for Athletic Fields for our Tampa, Florida location.  Our Tampa branch services schools, private athletic fields as well as the following counties: Hillsborough, Polk, Lake & Pinellas. 

 

• Must be able to lift 50lbs and be a motivated self-starter with high attention to detail

• Work in a fast-paced environment and shows up on time, ready to work

• Must have great communication skills, the ability to follow a schedule, adapt to changes and keep      accurate records.

• $18 - $20 per hour based on experience

• Knowledge of warm season grasses/overseeded grasses

• Knowledge of identifying different weeds, fungus & insects

• Knowledge of chemicals and ability to determine the right chemical to put out

• Knowledge of Boomless Skid Sprayer is a plus

• Knowledge of running a Toro Multi Pro is a plus

• Have a valid driver’s license and comfortable driving a flatbed truck, or truck & trailer

• Must be able to pass background check, drug screening & be authorized to work in the U.S.

Additional Salary Information:  If experienced and already have your Florida Pesticide license, you will start at $20/hr.
