This is the training site for the San Diego Loyal and US Men/Woman's Rugby Teams. The site has seven primary athletic fields. The sports played at CVEATC are soccer, rugby, and field hockey. These positions would help with maintaining the athletic fields and grounds.

GENERAL INFORMATION Job Title: Field Technician Exemption Status: Non Department: J&D Turf Operations POSITION SUMMARY The employee in this position will be responsible for, but not limited to maintenance applications of local athletic fields. This includes spraying, aerifying, granular fertilizer application, seeding, topdressing, and assisting in construction projects. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Assist field manager in daily maintenance and/or construction projects at same or separate job sites Keep daily records of work performed Load and unload trailers used at job sites daily Maintain and service field and warehouse equipment Keep records of maintenance and service on equipment Communicate with entire organization via email/phone Successfully perform all tasks listed in project descriptions Keep accurate DOT logs and submit them on time Keep accurate IFTA folders and submit them on time Make sure all work is performed safely and to the highest quality Make sure work site is cleaned up after each day KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES & WORKING CONDITIONS Ability to perform mound, plate, and infield skin construction and renovation on softball and baseball diamonds Ability to aerify, top-dress, and seed both new and existing turf Ability to spread granular fertilizer and perform liquid spray applications Ability to learn in both direct and self-guided manors. Must be able to quickly master field construction and laser grading techniques. Ability to complete physical labor and activities for up to 10 hours daily Ability to professionally interact with customers on site Knowledge of safe operational practices for both field and warehouse equipment Working knowledge of the turfgrass sciences Strong verbal and written communication skills Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and the Google Platform.
