Equipment/Shop Manager
We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various types of machinery and equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The Mechanic will ensure that all equipment is functioning optimally to support our operations.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical issues and determine appropriate repairs.
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery and equipment to prevent breakdowns.
- Utilize tools such as an Ohmmeter to test electrical components and systems.
- Repair or replace defective parts using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Mechanic or in a similar role is preferred.
- Familiarity with mechanical systems, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems.
- Experience using diagnostic tools, including an Ohmmeter.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications are a plus.
