Equipment/Shop Manager

At Kilmarlic Golf Club we pride ourselves on offering a premier golfing experience for our guests.  Our beautiful course is maintained by a dedicated team and we're looking to add a skilled and motivated golf course mechanic to our team to help ensure our fleet of equipment runs and operates to our standards.  The golf course mechanic will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and servicing of all equipment including reel and rotary mowers, carts, tractors, small engine equipment and aerators.  This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the courses equipment remains in optimal working condition for smooth day to day operations.  

Experience Requirements

  • Proven experience as a mechanic, ideally with experience in golf course and turf management equipment.

  • Strong mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills.

  • Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to perform repairs with minimal supervision.

  • Knowledge of safety procedures and proper handling of equipment and materials.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work well with team members.

  • A valid driver’s license.

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification or training in small engine repair or turf maintenance is a plus.

 

Special Requirements

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on all golf course equipment and other turf care machinery.

  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform repairs as needed.

  • Monitor and maintain inventory of tools, parts, and supplies.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment in the shop and storage areas.

  • Work with the golf course management team to coordinate equipment usage and ensure the timely availability of machinery.

  • Keep accurate records of maintenance schedules and repairs.

  • Assist with seasonal equipment preparation, including winterization and spring startup.

  • Ensure safety standards are followed at all times, including proper handling of equipment and hazardous materials.

  • Provide support for any other maintenance-related tasks as needed.
