Golf Course Superintendent
BrightView is seeking a Golf Course Superintendent to oversee the maintenance, operation, and management of a golf course. This role serves as the liaison between BrightView, the course ownership, and the golf shop, ensuring smooth daily operations. The Superintendent is responsible for agronomic planning, staff management, budgeting, and providing a top-quality playing experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and direct all golf course maintenance activities.
- Develop and implement annual agronomic and improvement plans.
- Oversee operation, maintenance, and repair of course equipment.
- Manage staff hiring, training, scheduling, and performance.
- Prepare and manage budgets, reports, and administrative tasks.
- Ensure compliance with BrightView’s safety program and company policies.
- Represent BrightView in a professional manner with staff, members, and the public.
Educational Requirements
- Degree in Agronomy, Horticulture, Plant/Soil Science, or equivalent knowledge.
Experience Requirements
- Experience in all phases of golf course management and turf culture.
- Working knowledge of construction, establishment, and maintenance of greens, tees, fairways, roughs, and bunkers.
- Administrative and executive ability with strong communication and computer skills.
Special Requirements
- Certified and/or licensed for pesticide usage.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Preferred: Knowledge of irrigation systems, drainage, fertilizers, and course preparation to USGA standards.
